Kelly Cleveland: Entrepreneur. Executive. Woman. Artist. Creative Director. Mama. Wife.
Kelly grew up in northern Wisconsin with entrepreneurial parents and saw firsthand what it took to run a successful business. She started her first company at age 21 representing a diverse portfolio of photographers, digital artists and graphic designers before turning her sights on interior design. She realized she loved being in a creative industry, but her true talents, her passion was being a “creative” rather than representing creative people.
In addition to a BA from Millikin University, Kelly holds a degree in Interior Design from Harrington Institute of Interior Design – and in 2002 founded her namesake firm, Kelly Cleveland Interiors, Inc.
Kelly Cleveland Interiors is a national firm specializing in luxury interior design for primary and secondary residences, commercial office buildings and brand/retail stores. Kelly’s clients rely on her measured, steady approach through the design process. She is known for creating timeless and sophisticated environments that are also approachable – reflecting the unique character and lifestyles of the people who inhabit them.
Kelly believes in the importance of surrounding oneself with talented people so she spent years fostering relationships with industry partners, makers, craftsman, architects and artisans. These invaluable relationships elevate every KCI design project.
Kelly is an active member of Interior Design Peer Alliance, a collective of award winning interior designers who mentor up and coming talent and promote a strong interior design community as well as American Society of Interior Designers. She was nominated by The Design Center at the Mart in 2018 and 2019 to be on the Host Committee for the VIP Luxury Gala.
In her free time (HA!), Kelly loves traveling, writing, and sketching while fluidly balancing a chaotic lifestyle amid a household of rowers, campers, actors and 2 dogs.
Kelly and her family volunteer with Housing Forward©, where she has helped organize blanket drives and provided shelter assistance for the homeless. Kelly Cleveland Interiors actively supports Designs for Dignity participating in Chairs for Charity and Carpets for a Cause.
