Happy Friday! This fantastic spring weather has got me thinking warm, shiny thoughts. A perfect day to talk about – Brass, bronze and gold! Antiqued, polished, hammered, matte…these beautiful metals are popping up everywhere. While polished nickel and chrome are still quite lovely, try mixing in some of these elegant, toasty toned metals to your decor. I just can’t get enough of it and thankfully these materials can be found in everything from lighting to furniture to sinks.
Kitchen and Bath hardware is a great place to start. You don’t have to match all of your metals, but don’t use too many in one space. Of course, be mindful of styles…your metals should play nicely together!

The metals in this glamorous bath are played up nicely by the smokey mirrored tile.

Antiqued brass is by far my favorite. I can’t quite embrace polished brass because I have visions of 80’s gold swan faucets to battle.

I love the dark wood and textural stone mixed with the brass faucets, hardware and mirror. Nickel would have just made this bath go cold.

Ms. Wearslter trimmed these yummy green cabinets in brass and topped it off with that fantastic backsplash.

Brass looks lovely even when it is a bit worn with age. Vintage lucite and brass barstools…yes please!
