I was putting together a mood board for a client’s master bedroom and found myself lost in Pinterest…AGAIN. I thought you might enjoy some wonderful inspirational images of master bedrooms I found so here are some of the highlights.
O bed! O bed! delicious bed!
That heaven upon earth to the weary head.
~Thomas Hood, Miss Kilmansegg — Her Dream
I was struck by the strong resurgence of canopy beds. I must admit I’ve never used this style of bed frame for a client, but I think that may change! These lovelies have inspired me….from deeply romantic draped beds to minimal and modern bare frames, I see a fantastic trend. They certainly do make an impact.
This would be great for the minimalist to the transitional leaning.
The prepster in me loves this room!
Quiet, simple and beautiful.
Sparkly, dramatic and glamorous.
New Rule: Stop putting all those pillows on the bed. Attention, interior designers, hotel maids, and real housewives of New Jersey: It’s a bed, not an obstacle course. A bed needs only two pillows: one to put my head on, and one to cuddle with and pretend it’s Robert Pattinson ~ Bill Maher
So sleek and modern, but quite soft.
How romantic!
So elegant. I think Carrie Bradshaw would approve.
Life is too short to sleep on low thread-count sheets. ~Leah Stussy
Perhaps you are into statement headboards or deep, moody color tones. I could easily see myself dreaming the night (or day) away in one of these rooms.
I’d loose the skull, but I love the grassy green and terracotta!
This room is bold, but really simple. Color…just fabulous deep, emerald color.
There is something so inviting about these textured and layered rooms…some with pops of red or orange.
Or how about a bit of gloss? Love the lacquered ceiling.
Crisp bright whites or soothing, simple muted tones.
In bed, I can go for hours. Oh yes, I love naps. ~Jarod Kintz, Love quotes for the ages. Specifically ages 18-81
And, finally…classic, soft…beautiful.
I hope you enjoyed these. Head on over to my Pinterest board called Lovely Bedrooms to see more of my selected images. Please let me know what you think!
Ok…I must get back to work now!
